Construction & Geotechnical Material Testing, Inc. (CGMT) opened its corporate doors to provide Chicago land with Geotechnical & Materials Engineering, Material Testing, Construction Inspection, Professional Reporting, and Laboratory Testing services for government agencies, municipalities, residential and commercial clients. Our goal is to provide quality service, all within the project budget. Our state-of-the-art Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) laboratory facilities in Bensenville, Illinois is an AASHTO-accredited laboratory. CGMT’s accreditation is granted by the AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP) and is limited to the laboratory and the standards for which the laboratory is accredited. The laboratory is inspected and approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) on yearly basis.  CGMT is also a certified Minority Business Enterprise and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE).

CGMT has assembled a highly trained and qualified staff, consisting of registered engineers, scientists, certified engineering technicians and support staff.  We have a proven record of commitment and successful team work needed to perform professional and reliable services that our clients have come to expect.  These high standards of commitment and professional services make CGMT the consulting firm for your quality needs.

KC Patel - President

During his more than 40 year career, Mr. Patel has provided geotechnical engineering and construction project management services, including engineering analyses, report preparation, supervision of field staff and site field observations during all phases of construction. Mr. Patel has extensive experience in both project inspection and coordination for projects spanning transportation, infrastructure and building construction for both public and private clients. Since founding CGMT, Mr. Patel’s extensive experience along with exceptional judgment has provided our clients an invaluable resource and excellent support for our teams continued progress.

Pratik K. Patel, P.E. - Principal

During his career, Mr. Patel has managed and overseen various testing activities performed at CGMT and senior project lead for geotechnical services. Mr. Patel has a broad knowledge of projects ranging from municipal infrastructure projects, extensive land development to construction of residential, commercial development and multi-story structures. Mr. Patel’s multi-disciplinary experience from geotechnical and design related phase to material testing and construction related phase to environmental engineering allowing our clients to have lead project management from the acquisitions of land to the completion of construction.

Mitul Patel – Director of Field Operations/Manager

Mr. Patel is a multi-task oriented Director of Field Operations of CGMT. Mr. Patel specializes in testing and observation of plastic concrete placement, asphaltic concrete placement, earthwork, foundations, masonry, aggregate, and many other construction material. Mr. Patel spear heads operations in the management of all field and laboratory testing performed at CGMT.
